The Wheellie Mad Women of 2011 trained hard for the big race. Maybe you saw Louise, Ellen, Cheney, Judy, Maree, Kylie, Kate, Tanya, Holly, Kerri, Lisa or Nicky out jogging, doing the Red Arrow, skipping or otherwise training for the big race.
A big thank you to Dennis Howe of Howe Farming Company for providing the bus for the weekend and to Kylie Barnes (part of the fundraising support crew).
Here’s some training action caught on film…Go Wheellies!!!

The New Recruits
What could be better than 20 tired legs…we think 40 tired legs!
This year, FNQ Cerebral Palsy Support Group is excited to have a second team raising funds for its programs in the Great Wheelbarrow Way Race. “The New Recruits,” sponsored by CBC Staff Selection, will join in beside the Wheellie Mad Women as a mixed team.
CBC Staff Selection has always been one of the driving forces behind the “Wheellie Mad Women,” with its Director, Sally Mlikota, providing key logistical support. This year many of the CBC Staff Selection team were keen to get involved in the Great Wheelbarrow Way race so a second team was formed. Could there be a better team building exercise than three days together on a bus, sprinting a wheelbarrow 144 kilometres for a great cause? We don’t think so!
The New Recruits (proudly riding on Sun Palm Transport bus) and the Wheellie Mad Women (proudly riding on the Howe Farm bus) will be cheering each other on over the weekend. Sponsorships for either team can be made by clicking here.
